EARL VION is an horticultural farm. The greenhouse (2000 m²) is divided in two “chapel kind” structure of 1000 m² each. Presently, one greenhouse is being heated from an hot air blower using wood as fuel, the other one is being heated from domestic fuel-oil hot air blower EARL VION is also a forest plots owner which operates to produce firewood, especially for its greenhouses. The project EARL VION is to increase wood heated area by installing a new wood boiler that produces heat for two greenhouses. |

Description of the Actual Services Provided | IED was hired to carry out the full initial energy study. The objective was to establish the horticultural farm’s energy balance and assess the technical and economic feasibility of the greenhouses wood heating. |
