| Description : |
The rural electrification master plan of Ouahigouya to which IED contributed provides a planning perspective for six provinces of Provinces of Burkina Faso by 2020. The first investment consists in a thermal unit north of Ouahigouya city, with a regional grid feeding Gourcy, Tougan, Titao, and a number of dense rural secondary town clusters. Globally, 20 villages are concerned and periurban Ouahigouya city. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | The consortium IED, COWI and HYDRO QUEBEC Int are technical assistants to project execution and IED is more specifically in charge of: * Analysis of viable demand in order to appropriately size the supply systems; * Definition of the tariff structure ; * Definition of the contractual framework and the responsibilities of parties involved (SONABLE, Directorate General for energy, end-user associations, village operators, …) ; * Drafting of contracts ; * Simplified norms for the distribution network and connections ; * Supervision of commercial and social extension work. |
