This project was carried out in close collaboration with the administrative office of Cape Verde, the Comara municipality of Maio island, the various institutions involved in the development of the island and the delegation of the European Commission in Praia. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | The tasks entrusted to IED include : 1. Specification and installation of a wind measuring system on the location of the wind diesel plant of Maio island ; 2. Estimation of the wind potential of the site ; 3. Detailed study of the MV and LV lines required for the electrification of the 12 villages of the island, including : * Mapping of each village at 1/10.000 ° for lines and 1/1000° for MV lines * Detailed specification of the lines (MV : 27 KM ; LV : 1500 clients) 4. Writing of tender documents for the supply, installation and maintenance of LV and MV lines. 5. Assistance to tender submission analysis of companies for the 300 kW wind-diesel plant, specified by IED in a previous contract. |
