The FDE has been funded by the European Commission second Energy Facility Programme for the electrification of 31 localities in Sahel Region, at the boundary with Mali and Niger. 19 localities will be connected to the national grid, 12 will be supplied from 2 PV/diesel hybridised power plants. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | 1 : Execution studies - Map and socio-economic data collection on targeted area - In collaboration with the FDE, selection of technical options to reduce project costs and maximise beneficiary population - Topographic/GPS surveys and loads plans development - Socio-economic surveys and social awareness campaign - Electricity demand forecast - Electrical and mechanical studies - Economic and financial studies - Bid and call for tenders preparation, supply and work procurements 2 : Works - Works implementation monitoring - Acceptance of completed work 3 : Supporting measures implementation - Support to domestic connexion - Support to economic activities emergence and connexion - Promotion of low consumption equipments - Support to social structures connexion 4 : Capacity building - Training sessions for selected local operators |
