The aim of the consultancy provided by IED experts was to assist the Royal Government of Cambodia to achieve its household electrification target of 70% by 2030 and provide more modern, efficient, and less expensive energy supply and services to the rural household and industries and assist industries in the more efficient utilization of energy supplies. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | Prepare a database of relevant documents, * Review past and ongoing plans on wood and biomass and rural energy development. * Liaise with and seek information from the various Consultants involved in the two modules of the program: the rural electrification and the non power module. Check consistencies with and between these Consultancies. * Specific attention paid to the recently approved Sustainable Rural Electrification Plan prepared by IED with support from AFD * Liaise with the Government Institutions * Estimate the reduction in Carbon Emission, * Prepare the Wood and biomass energy strategy and the overall Rural Energy Strategy and Implementation Plan which included the two components a funding plan and proposal on the institutional structure and its strengthening to effectively implement all aspects of the strategies. This included the roles of MIME, EDC, EAC and the REF, * Liaise with Donors, * Conduct a Conference on the Strategy and Implementation Plan. |
