Update of the Rural Electrification Master Plan as part of a wide consultation with key sector stakeholders (among others the Ministry of Water and Energy (MINEE), municipalities, the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), the Regulatory Board of the Electricity Sector (ARSEL) Electricity Development Corporation (EDC), FEICOM, PNDP, Kribi Power Development Company (KPDC) and AES SONEL. |

Description of the Actual Services Provided | 1 - Review of the current situation of rural electrification in Cameroon 2- Description of production and existing electricity distribution systems in Cameroon 3- Analysis of the socio-economic context and demand forecasting of electric energy of the studied localities 4- Identification of low cost technical solutions indicated for rural electrification projects by Region and Municipality - Rural electrification experiences study in other countries in Africa - Technical Study of optimal options for low cost design rural electrification - Financial study of optimal options for low cost design rural electrification 5- Geospatial Planning of rural electrification projects Identification of planning criteria for rural electrification scenarios Roll-out program for 15 years 6- Facilitation of the consultation process, restitution and validation of the Master plan 7 - Development an implementation plan for the first five years 8- Capacity building for rural electrification planning tool and methodology (GEOSIM) of national institutions |
