This project is part of a program named “Good Solar Initiative” (GSI) supporting the Cambodian solar sector. Companies involved in this programmed received a financial bonus for each system sold (solar kit or solar lantern) provided that GSI program’s Quality Charter requirements are respected: installation quality standards, traceability, 2 years warranty, hotline service, etc. In this program IED is the independent auditor who verifies compliance with the Quality Charter. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | As Independent Auditor, IED conducted 5 audits in close collaboration with its Cambodian local partner who relied on a local team of 6 surveyors. Each audit encompassed 3 types of activities: • Customer premises visits: it consisted of a checking of both indoors and outdoors equipment of a sample of customers. Surveyors used tablets to collect information (photos, GPS location) thanks to a digital form designed by IED. A total of more than 700 surveys have been conducted. • A phone call campaign to collect data on customer satisfaction: Every phone campaign required 2 local surveyors to reach a typical target of 500 phone calls. Responses were recorded in an online form (designed by IED) • An audit of documents at companies’ headquarters (Phnom Penh, Cambodia): This was to verify the compliance of a sample of contracts, maintenance visits intervention forms, supplier’s invoices. Every audit was to check a total of about 200 documents. |
