As part of the implementation of its budget for the 2023 financial year, the AER (Agende de l'Electrification Rurale) is carrying out feasibility studies for rural electrification development projects by extending interconnected networks and by small hydroelectric power plants and associated electricity networks. The present study focuses on the feasibility study of the project for the development of rural electrification by small hydroelectric power plant of Mbamti (5MW) and its associated electricity networks in the Department of Mayo-Banyo (30kV) and is part of this context. |

Description of the Actual Services Provided | The feasibility study service is as follows: - Task 1: To take stock of the situation of the rate of access to electricity in the communes of the Department of Mayo Banyo; - Task 2: Carry out a study of electricity demand; - Task 3: Carry out geological surveys of PCH sites; - Task 4: Carry out topographic studies by drone (in particular); - Task 5: Carry out complete hydrological studies; - Task 6: Carry out studies of the hydroelectric facilities (with design of all the access structures to the site, electricity production) and (the) associated electricity networks; - Task 7: Carry out the economic and financial analysis of production facilities from the point of view of an IPP project leader The project will increase the electrification rate in the Mayo-Banyo Department from 10% to 67%. The power of the plant is 5MW for an annual production of 41 GWh/year. The network includes a 72 km 30 kV biterre connection line and 340 km of 30 kV MV distribution network. |
