The objective of this study is to support supervisory institutions in developing terms of references for the social infrastructures electrical equipment, as well as a financing strategy. Initially, this involves gathering the necessary data through digital surveys to understand and quantify the needs and challenges related to electrifying schools and health centers. Subsequently, it is necessary to extrapolate the findings to the departmental level and share them with decision-making authorities to facilitate their decision-making process. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | IED is responsible of the following activities: (1) Finalizing the current situation diagnosis in terms of electricity usage by social infrastructure in the 8 departments‘ targeted 133 localities (inventory of infrastructures and electrification status surveys, implemented services, equipment used and associated costs). (2) Specifying the work required for the connection to the electricity grid and interior electrical installations of infrastructures not yet served, and evaluating the cost. (3) Analyzing the social infrastructures electrical equipment needs, based on the needs expressed by managers and prioritizing them, identifying a general topology of equipment by type of infrastructure and the associated budgets. (4) Extrapolating the results to the scale of the departments to which the studied localities belong. • Key Final Deliverables: L1 – Current Situation Summary Report L2 – Summary report of potential investments to be made and impact evaluation |
