Description :
The MME expressed its interest to update the Geospatial Least Cost Electrification Plan (GLCEP) completed in 2021 by IED, using latest data including new analysis and objectives in order to provide inputs for the National Development Plan (NDP6) and reachnew electrification effort for universal access by 2035

Description of the Actual Services Provided IED provided the following activities :
1 / Geospatial analysis:
• Data collection from the main actors of the energy sector (public / private) and integration of data in geographical information systems (GIS);
• Update of the national GIS database .
2 / Definition of the different electrification options the least expensive using the electrification planning software (GEOSIM):
• Modeling of all possible electrification options by 2035 in accordance with sectoral priorities for regional and national development;
• Modeling options for densification and extension of the existing power grid;
• Modeling options for isolated networks (mini-grids) and autonomous systems;
• upgrade of the GLCEP global results
