As part of the mini-grid support component of the Digital and Energy Connectivity for Inclusion in Madagascar (DECIM) project, the Rural Electrification Agency (ADER) has identified 4 mini-grid projects as priorities, including two solar mini-grid projects, and 2 hydroelectric mini-grid projects. With regard to the DECIM fund and the World Bank eligibility criteria, IED Consult was selected by the DECIM project to study the existing documentation for these 4 projects and to provide support to the leaders of these projects to complete their studies. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | On all the study components, IED carried out the review, the gap analysis in the documents shared by the project operators in relation to the requirements of the World Bank's procedures, and worked with the project leaders to improve their feasibility studies for financing by the DECIM project. This work concerned demand forecasting, production sizing, distribution network layouts, metering, environmental aspects, and finally the economic and financial analysis of the project. |
