Description : |
The overall objective of the HASKE project is to accelerate access to electricity for households, health and education facilities and businesses in Niger through grid connection and off-grid solutions. Through the implementation of solar photovoltaic hybridization works on existing diesel power plants, 11 localities of the NESAP program have already benefited from improved access to electricity in previous years. Following difficulties encountered by companies, in 4 localities the work remained to be finalized. IED was thus commissioned to carry out technical assistance with the project owner, the public electricity company NIGELEC. For each locality, the work involves the installation of the photovoltaic power plant, a battery storage system (BESS), the integration of the existing generators into the hybrid power plant and the reinforcement and extension of the MV and LV distribution network. |
