The study aims to update Benin's Electric Energy Master Plan for the period 2026-2040 in order to guarantee the country's energy autonomy. The central objective is to define a strategic investment plan (2025-2030) covering production, transmission and distribution. The mission includes updating the national electrification plans, both for the main and off-grid grids. The consultant must evaluate the current infrastructure and project future demand via a consolidated database. The analysis integrates various sources of production (thermal, hydroelectric, solar) and energy storage needs. A crucial component concerns the strengthening of the technical capacities of the DGPER, to ensure the autonomous management of planning tools. Deliverables include techno-economic models, and implementation plans. |
