The « Porcher Industries » group employs 2000 people throughout the world, and has activities in the USA, Brazil and China. In France (900 employees), the group is well represented in the Rhône-Alpes region (5 production sites : Chavanoz, La tour du pin, Badinières, la Voulte/Rhône and le Grand Lens). The main activity of the group is production of technical textiles from polyester, glass or carbone strings for industrial uses. Energy consumption has a significant impact on production costs and the owner wishes to identify possible improvements on the 5 sites located in Rhône-Alpes region. |

| Description of the Actual Services Provided | The study consists of different stages: - Review of the current situation : analysis of existing information on the company and field visit of the 5 sites and their equipments. At this stage, the study will identify major areas of consumptions and main actions to undertake. - Identified processes are then analysed more thoroughly. - Recommendations and suggestions of improvements : suggestions are prioritized according to their potential gain in energy compared to required investments. - A possible support will be provided for the implementation of these actions (option). This project is conducted as a part of the OPTIM’ ENERGIE program, lead by the CRCI Rhône-Alpes and financed by ADEME Rhône-Alpes and Rhône-Alpes region. |
